With the release of Autodesk® 3ds Max 2018® software scheduled on April 12, 2017, Autodesk will no longer include NVIDIA’s Mental Ray as part of 3ds Max. Instead, customers will be able to use Arnold for foreground (in-session) processing, in addition to Scanline, Quicksilver and Autodesk Raytracer (ART). Arnold was honored by the Academy with a Sci-Tech award this year and will enable customers to continue to create high quality work with 3ds Max 2018.
