When is Cloud Rendering the Right Option?

Is building, licensing and maintaining a render farm a core part of your business? Some of our customers maintain their own servers and software and use StratusCore’s Render Rocket when they need to burst their computing power or quickly turn around a project. Others use us for all of their rendering needs and stay out of IT altogether. A growing number are moving more capacity to the cloud to reduce costs associated with maintaining their farm.

Check out this Infographic to help you understand the trade-offs. StratusCore's Render Rocket also offers unlimited free test renders that help with calculating rendering costs and ensure your output looks perfect before submitting your full project. Just choose the test option as your payment mode when you check out.

Whether you’re considering cloud rendering to increase your capacity or for all of your render needs, StratusCore’s Render Rocket is always on, up-to-date, and secure.

Our Artist Care team is available to answer any of your technical questions. Feel free to reach out to them for support:

Autodesk 3ds Max 2018

With the release of Autodesk® 3ds Max 2018® software scheduled on April 12, 2017, Autodesk will no longer include NVIDIA’s Mental Ray as part of 3ds Max. Instead, customers will be able to use Arnold for foreground (in-session) processing, in addition to Scanline, Quicksilver and Autodesk Raytracer (ART). Arnold was honored by the Academy with a Sci-Tech award this year and will enable customers to continue to create high quality work with 3ds Max 2018.

Congratulations Chaos Group for your Academy Award for V-Ray!

Chaos Group’s V-Ray has been receiving a lot of attention lately. Most notably, Chaos Group was the proud recipient of an Academy Award for Scientific and Technical Achievement for the design and implementation of V-Ray. V-Ray was instrumental in the widespread adoption of fully ray-traced rendering for motion pictures, thanks to its efficient, production-ready approach and its support for a wide variety of workflows.

StratusCore’s Render Rocket proudly supports the V-Ray plugin for Autodesk’s 3ds Max and Maya. Check out the V-Ray Showreel for 2016 to see what artists have created with this Academy Award winning software.
